If you are scheduled to receive an endodontic treatment, then Dr. Balasco recommends the following before your appointment:
- Please let us know if you are taking prescription medication, and please continue to take all of your medications as usual before your treatment.
- If your physician has advised you to use antibiotic premedication before dental procedures as a result of mitral valve prolapse (MVP), heart murmur, or prosthetic joints please be sure to take the appropriate antibiotic one hour before your visit.
- We suggest that you take 2-3 tablets (400-600mg) of ibuprofen before your visit to help increase your comfort during treatment. Please do not take this medication if you cannot take Aspirin and/or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications.
