Dr. Balasco wants you to recover quickly and easily after you visit our office for treatment, which is why we provide you with after-care instructions. When you follow the steps outlined in these instructions you can more quickly enjoy the benefits of a healthy smile.
- Over the counter Ibuprofen 200mg. Take 2-3 tablets every 4-6 hours. Use this dosage for the first 24 hours for inflammation regardless if you have discomfort. If you are experiencing discomfort you may continue this dosage for several days. DO NOT exceed 16 tablets (3200mg) in any 24 hour period.
- If additional pain relief is needed, ibuprofen can also be alternated with OTC Tylenol or prescription medication every 2 hours.
- Follow up in 1-3 weeks with your general dentist for permanent restoration of your tooth.
